Den Grønne Pote

Commissioned work for the local pet shop “Den Grønne Pote” (eng: The Green Paw).

The owner (Charlotte Dinesen) and I worked out the art design together to best accommodate and greet the many dogs and cats owners of the shop. Furthermore the key values of the shop is providing both organic and sustainable products is also represented in the decoration.

How and what?

The decoration is hand painted mainly with materials consisting of white acrylic markers on the inside surface of the shop. Which meant that I had to write and draw inverted - that was a challenge - yet it had an easy solution. I could do the design onto the outside surface, especially any writing or tough details of dog and cat faces. So it was convenient that the weather allowed working outside. The fist window was created (without calculating the time sketching the overall design) and finished on two work days. Second window display in Charlottenlund - which was a much larger window - also was finished by two work days with the exclusion of minor corrections.

Two window displays - one for each shop

As mentioned - Alongside with the first window display created for the shop in Amager - also the shop located in Charlottenlund was up for decoration. Though not completely in the same amount of details but with focus on a nordic nature and also representation of the cute dogs and cats. Snowflakes were added since the work was done just in time for Christmas 2018, soon it will be updated with new green leaves and spring elements.
